CETYS Universidad is constantly encouraging its students to sign up in global internships which is possible due to its various alliances with international companies, specifically with US corporates. Many times, one they finish the internships they are offered a job; this has resulted in CETYS Alumni working in different corporates such as Microsoft, PACCAR, Apple, and Tesla among others.

The Friends of CETYS Foundation is creating a fund to advance higher education in the Imperial Valley. The goal is to support high school students achieve their dreams by providing the opportunity to an outstanding higher education here in their community at CETYS University.

CETYS University offers the best possibilities to train our students with a competitive higher education within technical knowledge, multicultural approach, international experiences, linkage with renowned companies and organizations that will prepare them to go out to the world and accomplish great things for them and our community. CETYS means the best way to form our students into citizens that will commit and advance our community.

families live below the poverty level. This means fewer opportunities and more vulnerability for women and their families.

85.5% of the population in the Imperial Valley are Hispanic/Latinos and is the group living bellow the poverty line. Also, the dropout rate in the Hispanic population is 8.2% (Second place in the country).

In 2019 hispanics students were awarded the most degrees at institutions in the Imperial Valley.

This resulted in 2,985 degrees awarded, meaning that statistically when a Latino student is presented with the opportunity to study they take advantage of it.

  6. Interested in pursuing an administrative, psychology, or engineering career.

  1. Present an essay telling us about your life story and stating why you want to go to college and how would you use your career to benefit your Calibaja community *1500 words.
  2. Present a video answering the following questions:
    • What motivates you to move forward?
    • What strengths have you identified because of your Mexican/American heritage?
    • What type of legacy do you want to leave?
  3. GPA 3.0 or higher *present 10th – 12th-grade transcripts.
  4. Have demonstrated involvement in community and outreach events/programs (two years minimum & present an evidence report).
  5. Complete federal financial aid application (FAFSA) or the financial support application.
  6. Present two recommendation letters.
  7. Take the required psychometric test.
  8. Complete the university’s registration requirements.
  • Maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Participate a minimum of two community events annually.
  • Write a letter at the end of every semester to the Foundation and Friends sharing your experiences
    and grades.
  • Get involved in the university’s clubs and/or events (minimum three a year).
  • Be part of an outreach program/event in yourvcommunity (minimum two a year).
  • Become a Friend of CETYS Ambassador, while attending school, be part of the Ambassador program and events.
